Your continued use of K9Crypt constitutes acceptance of any changes or updates to these terms.

These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and administrators.

You represent that you have the legal authority to accept these terms on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 require parental consent.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account (username only).

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.

K9Crypt reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

One person or entity may not maintain multiple accounts without explicit permission.

You agree to use K9Crypt only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

You will not use our service to transmit illegal content, including but not limited to: illegal materials, child exploitation content, terrorist content, or content that violates intellectual property rights.

You will not engage in harassment, threats, hate speech, or any form of abusive behavior.

You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, networks, or other users' accounts.

You will not distribute malware, viruses, or any malicious code through our platform.

You will not use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without explicit written permission.

You will not impersonate other users, entities, or K9Crypt representatives.

You will not engage in spam, phishing, or any deceptive practices.

K9Crypt and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by K9Crypt and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Our logo, brand name, and design elements are trademarks of K9Crypt and may not be used without permission.

The K9Crypt encryption module is open-source under its specified license. See our GitHub repository for details.

You retain all rights to the content you create and transmit through our service.

By using K9Crypt, you do not grant us any rights to your content beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our proprietary software without explicit permission.

You are solely responsible for the content you transmit through K9Crypt.

We do not monitor or control user content due to our end-to-end encryption model.

You agree not to use our service for any illegal activities or to violate the rights of others.

We reserve the right to remove access to rooms or content that violate these terms, when brought to our attention.

You acknowledge that encrypted communications may still be subject to legal obligations in your jurisdiction.

You are responsible for backing up any important data, as we do not retain message content.

Self-destructing messages are your responsibility to configure appropriately.

Your use of K9Crypt is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

We implement zero-knowledge architecture and cannot access your encrypted messages.

We store only your username and cryptographically hashed password.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

You acknowledge that while we use military-grade encryption, no system is completely impenetrable.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own devices and networks.

K9Crypt is provided on an 'as-is' and 'as-available' basis without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free service.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

We may perform scheduled maintenance that temporarily affects service availability.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant service changes.

We are not liable for any data loss resulting from service interruptions or account termination.

Emergency maintenance may be performed without prior notice to address security vulnerabilities.

Attempting to bypass or circumvent security measures or access restrictions.

Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling our proprietary software (excluding open-source components).

Using our service to facilitate or promote illegal activities of any kind.

Creating accounts for the purpose of violating these terms or assisting others in doing so.

Transmitting content that infringes on patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights.

Engaging in any activity that interferes with or disrupts our services or servers.

Collecting or harvesting personal information from other users without consent.

Using our service in a manner that could damage our reputation or business interests.

K9Crypt and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Our total liability for any claims related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (currently $0 for free accounts).

We are not responsible for any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account due to your negligence.

We are not liable for content transmitted by users through our service.

We do not guarantee that the service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

This limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless K9Crypt and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees).

This indemnification applies to claims arising from: your use of the service, your violation of these terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or any content you transmit through the service.

We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification.

You will cooperate with us in defending any such claims.

This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account and these terms.

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, for violation of these terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ceases.

We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Account termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination.

Terminated users may be prohibited from creating new accounts.

We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from account termination.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of K9Crypt shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

You agree to waive any right to participate in class actions or class-wide arbitration.

Before initiating arbitration, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting us at legal@k9crypt.xyz.

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through individual arbitration.

You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these terms by emailing legal@k9crypt.xyz.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights that cannot be waived by agreement.

K9Crypt encryption technology may be subject to export control laws and regulations.

You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws when using our service.

You represent that you are not located in, or a national of, any country subject to government embargo or restrictions.

You are not listed on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

You will not use K9Crypt to export or re-export any data in violation of applicable laws.

We reserve the right to restrict access to our service in certain jurisdictions to comply with legal requirements.

K9Crypt incorporates open-source software components that are subject to their own licenses.

You agree to comply with the terms of all applicable open-source licenses.

Our proprietary components remain subject to these Terms of Service and are not licensed under open-source terms.

We provide no warranty for third-party components and disclaim liability for their performance.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time at our sole discretion.

Material changes will be notified through our platform, email, or other appropriate means.

Your continued use of K9Crypt after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

If you do not agree to modified terms, you must stop using the service and delete your account.

We will update the 'Last Updated' date at the top of this document when changes are made.

It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for updates.

Previous versions of these terms are available upon request.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and K9Crypt.

These terms supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.

No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these terms.

These terms may not be assigned by you without our prior written consent.
